| I teach college biology and the students help keep me youthful and on my toes. I hold the environment near and dear to my heart, so I am also conservation-minded.
At home, I live on a small farm with my menagerie of animals. I have goats, horses, chickens, dogs, cats and fish. Outside of teaching school this keeps me very busy. I periodically show the goats and the horses, if the show is close to home or when I can get away.
I am a do-it-yourself sort of gal. I completely remodeled the house that I owned before this one, including replacing all water and septic lines, hooking to the sewer, total rewiring, ripping down and replacing the center portion of the house from the foundation to the roof. And of course, when something isn't working, if I can take it apart and put it back together and it works, all the better. If it doesn't work, then I can always take it somewhere to get it fixed.
I enjoy the companionship of others, but I am also somewhat independent and do not need a lot of coddling and constant attention to be happy. I feel that two people in a relationship should be able to maintain their identities and do things separately as well as together. I have my own interests and do not expect or demand that my partner will always want to pursue the same things I do. I am very trusting, maybe to a fault, and if my partner wants to go on a trip with his friends, I am fine with that. At the same time, I do want to have a close relationship with a man who will understand my needs, supports my endeavors, and enjoys spending alone time with me.
What I really am looking for in a relationship is to be able to sit and talk about how the day went, go out for a nice evening together, snuggle by the fire at night like a teenage couple, have morning coffee on the porch and plan out the day's activities.
